About the role
The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all new hires and hiring managers have a positive onboarding experience.

*Ability to travel 50% of the time* What you'll be doing

  • Partner with hiring manager when job is posted to create an onboarding plan for new hire
  • Train managers on HR onboarding process
  • Ensure welcome kits are ready
  • Review 1st day activities and information to ensure everything is prepared for new hire
  • Work with Hiring manager to coordinate pre-start communication
  • Ensuring success packets are completed at site level

Regularly touch base with candidates from the time that they accept the offer until their 1 st anniversary with the company.

Ensure new hires completed BBU trainings in a timely fashion.

  • Ensure new hires are set up to speak with payroll and benefits to review process and policies
  • Presents a HR policy review and “We Care” overview weekly to new hires
  • Check-ins with new hires monthly for 1 year
  • Check-ins with hiring manager monthly for 1 year
  • Maintain and upload accurate records of onboarding plans, check in documents and communications with managers and new hires.
  • Continued communication and contact with hiring teams and new hires
  • Updating spreadsheets as necessary with key information.
  • Conducts stay interviews with new employees at specific times throughout their first year
  • Support and back up the Talent Acquisition Coordinator as needed
  • Understands and complies with current laws and legislation, specifically OFCCP, EEOC, AAP, enforcing compliance with Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers as well.

 Typical Physical Demands: Regularly uses hands to manipulate phones, computer keyboard and similar tools. Ability to view computer screens, mobile devices, and other electronic equipment, for extended periods of time. Sit and stand to perform administrative work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office environment. Employee must travel throughout the company footprint as required.

Who we're looking for

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in pursuit of Human Resources or Business is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources role (i.e., onboarding or generalist role)
  • Understanding and knowledge of full cycle recruiting and HR practices and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Process oriented
  • Ability to travel 50% of time
  • Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required
