We have a vacancy for a flexible, highly motivated, team player with excellent communication skills.Reporting to the Streetscene Operations Manager you will work within a team managing the operational waste services offered by the Council. This will involve dealing with the public, 40+ staff in a variety of settings, dealing with vehicle and customer service issues as well as working with new and existing ICT packages. Working as part of a small office-based team at the Councils Argyll Road depot you will be a team player, but also with the ability to work alone, you should be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload, have good computer and numeracy skills. You should ideally have experience of working in an operational setting dealing with a varied workload.If appointed you will be required to have a driving licence and must have a car available for work purposes. The hours of work will be 37 per week, Monday to Friday. A casual user allowance is payable. Standard hours of work are 7.30am to 3.30pm. However you must be flexible to suit the work requirements which will include some earlier (6.30am) starts and some later finishes on a regular basis, as well as occasional evening work.
