A new opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis in a busy practice in Ashby De La Zouch. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands
– Must have 1-year minimum experience of working in an opticians – Must be able to dispense to all levels – You will be able to work 4 or 5-days per week including a weekend day If you do not meet the above requirements, you application will not be taken further.
Optical Assistant Position
You will be working in a busy, 5-test room practice with around 25+ staff. You will be surrounded by a very friendly team in a relaxed and supportive work environment. They are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail the usual Optical Assistant responsibilities e.g. dispensing glasses to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests, contact lens teaches, frame styling and give patients advice on their options. However, you will be more than just a number and for your commitment you will be in a position to take on certain courses to get you ready for your future career.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
My client is looking for applicants with at least 1 year of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within a busy practice but not essential as they have a strong reputation for their training programs. The ability to dispense to all levels is essential with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant.
On offer is a salary package from £11.64 per hour, but can be negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. As well as this there is also a bonus scheme & additional benefits, as well as the continued training opportunities.
