With ambitious plans for large-scale transformation, we’re going to see a refreshed strategy to drive value for our customers, colleagues and shareholders.What you’ll be doingAs a Pricing Analyst you’ll join the wider Pricing & Underwriting team, pro-actively planning and managing your own tasks to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of projects, and engaging in technical discussions with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure current and future business needs are met.Key AccountabilitiesCreate and deliver impactful solutions to improve DLG’s pricing performance and longer-term pricing capability, whilst maintaining underwriting disciplineProvide key analytical support and insight to inform wider business decisions and strategy, ensuring robustness of output and clear recommendationsCreate meaningful and collaborative relationships with both key stakeholders and the wider business in order to produce and deliver aligned outcomes across a variety of requirementsAssist with the development of pricing models and ensure their appropriate use and application. Monitor the effectiveness of models on an ongoing basis to ensure they are fit for purpose and suggest areas of developmentAnalyse trading performance and create, monitor and track KPIs, including producing & analysing tactical MI, and develop recommendations to support the trading objectives. Identify gaps in existing MI and develop improvementsPlan, manage and deliver critical tasks and projects in a pro-active, timely and accurate manner, providing insights, impacts and recommendationsHelp foster a culture of sharing knowledge through using effective interactions with peers in other areas of DLG and communicating this across the teamDevelop yourself in order to maximise your personal contribution to the team and identify opportunities to gain additional skills, including through secondments and/or rotationsIdentify opportunities for improvements to enable tasks to be performed in a more efficient manner. Challenge current processes appropriately with suggestions as to how these can be refinedStrive to learn as much as possible about pricing and underwriting systems and how the wider business and insurance market impact on our pricing and performance decisions. Utilise this knowledge to create original and insightful solutions or improvements to current pricing or processesPlay an active role in the induction and training of new members to the team thus ensuring a personal feel to their integration into the team; act as a first point of contact on technical and process issuesIdentify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriately to this role, in line with the company risk framework.
