Our client is an integrated agency of about twenty people, with a very flexible working ethos they have a studio based in West /Central London thats open every day but one core day a week when everyone goes in, after that flex to work rest of week remotely. day — but we have a flexible working approach, with just one core day a week when we all go in.

every member of our team to follow their passions both in work and outside of it.

Due to a massive amount of new business wins they are looking for a senior designer who is

capable of strategic and joined-up thinking, to work on new packaging accounts in the beauty, personal care and domestic appliances sectors. We see this typically starting with

building a thorough understanding of the product portfolio, current design guidelines and getting hands-on with rolling out new packs and pack ranges. In this role, you will work very closely with the client’s internal design team and will be integral to the development and evolution of one of the brand’s key touchpoints. Like the rest of the team, you’ll play an

essential role as a ‘brand guardian’. A complete overhaul of the packaging design platform is planned for 2024 so this is a chance to be part of the redesign of a major consumer brand.

Challenging at times, the role requires a thorough understanding of the implications of design decisions across a large range of packs so you will have a proven background working within brand guidelines to manage consistency, structure and coherence through a wide portfolio – either in-house or in a creative agency. Our work often reaches beyond the

realm of packaging so you’ll also need to demonstrate a clear understanding of ‘brand thinking’ i.e. how best to articulate and implement a brand and its message across multiple touchpoints.

Designing for technology products often requires communicating ‘hidden innovation’ and relies on visualising the product benefits in a clear and engaging way. Your work will illustrate strong art direction and visualising skills, and while not a prerequisite for the role, 3D rendering experience is certainly an advantage.

You should find orderliness satisfying and thrive in a process-driven environment. Having said that, you’ll also be keen to stretch brands creatively – using your experience to push boundaries. You’ll be no stranger to working collaboratively and will thrive on working alongside copywriters, creative artworkers and other team members at every level.

Your responsibilities

• You will work closely with our Design Director, Creative Director and Account Directors on new and existing client projects

• You’ll help us to push creative boundaries and ensure brand consistency across our global packaging and integrated communication projects.

• You will be comfortable with presenting your ideas both internally and in client meetings and enjoy the challenge of being part of a pitch team looking to land new client work

• You will see the bigger picture – get our commercial goals and be keen to play your part in our success

• You will be at home with the whole project lifecycle – from briefing, through creation, internal review and be happy to liaise with clients during the approval process.

• You are equally happy talking about the big picture as you are keeping an eye on meticulous execution and the day-to-day details

• You love clear communication and ideally have a way with words (able to copy edit)

• You will ensure artwork adheres to range and brand guidelines and play an essential role as a brand guardian, working closely with the rest of the design team

• You will have a passion for a great creative idea coupled with a stunning execution, a love for design and art direction and demonstrate an eagle-eyed attention to detail

• You will thrive in a well-structured, organised environment and not shy away from admin.

• Like the rest of the team, you will be client-facing — confidence in communicating face-to-face, over video calls and via email is a must

• You will be able to juggle multiple projects comfortably, manage deadlines and flag any potential conflicts with our super-organised account team well ahead of time
