This is a multi site food manufacturing business with an exciting agenda to develop the business further across the UK and new territories
We are looking for an enthusiastic packaging professional to join the team.
You will be tasked with
implementing packaging innovation, sustainability and cost out initiatives for across the Group, based on customer requirements, consumer insights and market/business requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist with the development and implementation of new packaging solutions on a regional and global scale, ensuring packaging is fit for purpose (by leading the completion of testing and trials), and by following packaging development best practices.
Understand the sustainability requirements of our business and their Customers
Understand best practise in relation to packaging development.
Use and have input into packaging technical data using available systems such as Foods Connected – project data, specifications, and test results.
Liaise with suppliers and other organisations to organise new and innovative packaging solutions and collaborate on projects to bring these to market.
Contribute towards Group Packaging Strategy for the group
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Graduate calibre with a degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate technical or engineering subject.
Good working and technical knowledge of food packing formats and materials, found in retail stores today.
The ability to travel across sites to engage with trials.
Creativity and skills to introduce new innovative pack formats, ensuring consideration to the environment, shelf life and added value.
Excellent team working abilities.
Previous experience in a similar environment is preferable, due to the unique working conditions when on the factory floor.
