Job Description

The Role

We are searching for a Performance Marketing Manager to take ownership of our SEM and affiliate marketing channels. This role will report to the Director of Marketing and play an integral role in the business.

It is a hands-on role: you must roll up your sleeves and be proactive with optimisation strategies. You will work closely with the marketing team to continually test and improve Better.co.uk’s paid marketing performance to reach our growth targets efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our performance marketing channels to execute against Better.co.uk’s SEM activity/targets, including strategy, planning, forecasting, reporting, etc.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing on plotting the future course of SEM and paid acquisition at Better.co.uk.
  • Work with the broader marketing team to deliver impactful omnichannel marketing campaigns with attributable ROI.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Product teams to test, learn and improve the CX and conversion rate of SEM visitors through better ads, landing pages and products.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years of performance marketing experience working within a regulated industry (or working agency-side with clients in regulated industries).
  • Extensive experience with Google Ads and paid marketing “tools of the trade”
  • Demonstrated track record of managing to a marketing budget
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset: embrace challenges, self-motivated to work on tight timelines to achieve ambitious goals. Dynamic and agile vs. a caretaker mentality
  • Strong analytical skills: deep experience and enthusiasm for pulling and manipulating data, reporting on and improving channel performance, and communicating insights to team and business partners
  • Strong understanding of APIs, attribution models, offline conversion tracking, etc.
  • Experience with Supermetrics, Looker, Tableau or another other BI tool
  • Experience in managing agencies is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of other paid media channels, such as GDN, Meta, and LinkedIn, is desirable but not essential

Benefits

  • Private Medical Insurance & Medical Cash Plan
  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • Life Insurance
  • 25 days holiday (increasing with tenure), plus bank holidays
  • Learning & Development budget
