Leading a collaborative paid media strategy across a number of our tier 1 client accounts, this individual would be an advocate of best practice with an emphasis on experimentation and industry-leading execution. The Paid Media Manager would have 4 years+ paid media experience and have strong leadership qualities, coaching direct reports and setting high standards for the wider team.

The Paid Media Manager would be responsible for industry-leading paid media strategy development and execution across a number of CPG clients. They would be results-focused, with a responsibility for the performance of clients vs target and forecasts, as well as the delivery and development of direct reports.

What will I be doing as a Paid Media Manager at THG?

Key Responsibilities:

  • A consistent passion to drive performance for our clients, with a blended approach to our paid media strategy across paid social and paid search, with a high understanding of incrementality.
  • A constant responsibility to have a best-in-class structure across channels and platforms.
  • Using data-driven insights to quickly iterate and methodically improve results day on day, week on week and month on month with team members.
  • An excellent understanding of creative importance across channels, providing detailed insights and data to fuel creative optimisations and campaign performance.
  • Leading on the optimisation and management of campaigns to agreed revenue and ROAS/COS%/CAC targets.
  • Managing and monitoring daily paid campaign spend to ensure optimum campaign performance and in line with best practice vs strategy and forecasts.
  • Effective delegation of tasks based on prioritisation to paid media team.
  • Development and training for paid media team members – coaching direct reports while setting an example and offering training to wider team members.
  • Utilisation of our tooling partners to ensure efficient and optimised performance across channels and platforms.

KPI’s

  • Client growth, having a strong focus on the holistic growth of clients, identifying opportunities to maximise MoM, YoY potential.
  • Client paid media performance, measured against client objectives including revenue, COS%, Customer acquisition & CAC.
  • Delivery and optimisation of new campaigns, Keywords, Ad Copy across all relevant platforms and surfaces.
  • Reporting on performance with transparent communication back to the trading, client marketing – providing insightful context and opportunities to support client growth.
  • Driving better Revenue volumes within COS% targets, acquiring more New Customers within CAC targets.

Essential skills

  • Leadership – effective and efficient delegation, coaching direct reports and junior team members to help them grow as paid media specialists.

  • Significant experience and understanding of key platforms, including: Google ads, Bing, Meta, TikTok.
  • Smartly, Squared IO.
  • High understanding of attribution models and S2S solutions, and the importance they hold.
  • Strong technical knowledge in conversion tags and implementation for relevant platforms.
  • Capability with key marketing platform technologies, such as SA360.
  • Excellent communicator – able to give clarity and provide detail on insights.
  • Ability to form good working relationships with internal teams.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
