Job Description

My client, an iconic Global luxury brand is looking for an accountant to join them on an initial 6 month contract in Leeds.

As an RTR Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of RTR transactions such as payroll, accruals, prepayments, intercompany recharges, fixed asset, inventory and other general ledger journal types, alongside reconciliation of RTR balances and preparation of RTR reports for their UK and Ireland entities.

  • Salary: Day Rate £200-£300
  • 6 month contract
  • Location : Leeds
  • Hybrid working: 2/3 days office based with 2/3 days working from home


Main Duties :

• Execution of RTR transactions and reports.

• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.

• Preparation of local compliance work, including but not limited to statutory accounts and VAT and tax periodic returns.

• Liaise with key internal stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with the Group Policies.

• Apply understanding of assigned business processes to identify gaps and propose continuous improvement measures.

• Work closely with the process owners to understand root causes and represent process procedures, practicalities and exceptions.

• Proactively seek feedback from fellow team members and other internal and external customers, and use this to inform future delivery of services.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Studying for a professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Experience in applying IFRS or local accounting GAAP

Desirable

  • SAP training and certification
  • Experience of SAPBPC is an advantage.
  • Worked within a multicurrency environment, analysing and understanding the impact of movements in exchange rates on reported results
  • Experience in an accounting role within a multinational company
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of building and working with complex models and large data sets.
