Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications Start Date: September 2nd, 2024 Job Description: We are excited to invite an enthusiastic and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will teach French, Spanish, and/or German to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach A-Level courses. You will play a pivotal role in nurturing a love for languages, enhancing students' linguistic skills, and preparing them for their future academic and professional journeys. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination board standards. Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and achievement. Employ diverse teaching strategies to meet various learning styles and abilities. Monitor and support students' overall progress and development. Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives and resources. Participate in extracurricular activities and school events, promoting language learning beyond the classroom. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning outcomes. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Proven experience teaching French, Spanish, and/or German at the secondary school level. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for languages. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Desirable Attributes: Experience teaching A-Level languages. Proficiency in additional languages. Experience integrating technology into language teaching. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
