Leightons Opticians and Hearing Care is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Patient Support Contact Centre Team Leader. This is a full time, hybrid role with the office based in Southampton. This is an exciting new role for anyone who has a passion for leading a team and has what it takes to support a contact centre team.

Some of what you'll do:


  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Set performance targets and provide ongoing support and coaching.
  • Oversee day-to-day contact centre operations, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
  • Train new team members and identify opportunities for skill development.
  • Track key performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries or complaints
  • Resolve complex issues promptly and professionally.
  • Lead employee engagement duties such as team meetings, huddles
  • Address any performance gaps and be responsible for sickness or absence return to work meetings.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with contact centre software and CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in using contact centre software and CRM/Practice Management systems.
  • Resilience to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
