Job Overview:

To work with the Payroll Manager to deliver complete and accurate monthly payrolls for staff payment across multiple countries and tax jurisdictions.

Ensure accurate processing of all payroll elements, including variable monthly elements, taxand pension deductions, other deductions (BiK, advances), and ensure compliance both to deadlines and accuracy.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Work alongside the Payroll Manager to roll forward prior month payrolls.
  • Complete for current month, ensuring correct capture of starter/leaver data, fixed and variable payroll elements.
  • Ensure correctly processed in-house and with third party providers where relevant
  • Ensure regulatory submissions are correctly made and on time
  • Work with the Treasury Accountant and GFC to ensure all staff are paid correctly and on time and all relevant pension and wage tax/PAYE payments are made on time.
  • Distribute payslips to staff
  • Respond on a timely basis to staff and management queries, with a commitment to high levels of service.
  • Check and ensure accuracy of commission and bonuses (variable monthly and quarterly)
  • Ensure correct deductions from staff for advances, overspends on allowances, season tickets, BIK taxable items, charitable deductions and other items.
  • Ensure deductions are accurate and tracked correctly if recurring.
  • Work with the accounts team to identify deductions to be made and process accordingly
  • Ensure all staff are correctly coded to their department allocations.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to management on payroll items (gross to net, commissions and bonuses paid, regulatory compliance etc…)
  • Provide monthly payroll summaries for journal processing by the accounts team.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations with respect to tax, social security, pension and other deductions and payment thereof to the relevant authorities on a timely basis.


Experience Required:

  • Experienced payroll professional with 3- 5 years in a payroll role
  • IRIS or other payroll software user
  • Intermediate Excel spreadsheet skills
  • International payroll experience (Germany, Netherlands, Singapore or USA) is desirable but not essential
  • Expenses processing is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of all regulatory requirements and deadlines for tax, pension and other bodies
  • Understanding of month end and annual payroll processes and procedures
  • Experience calculating variable elements to payroll
