JOB DESCRIPTION Payroll AnalystContract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Full-Time) - 12 MonthsLocation: WorksopDHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Payroll Analyst to play a vital role within our Finance function. The Senior Payroll Analyst will lead a team of Payroll Analysts and manage all payroll processes at sites across their patch, ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time.Our team of Finance specialists do so much more than crunch numbers. They add value to our business by truly understanding our data and helping our teams make informed, commercial decisions. We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to join our team in Worksop, the position is responsible for both weekly (250) and monthly (550) payroll for customers within our Consumer and Convenience areas. This role just isn't about the input of data we really want someone with an interest in Payroll, and the ability to interrogate the data and make changes where necessary to ensure a smooth and seamless payroll for our colleagues.WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for: Monitor and support the Payroll data collection process at allocated sitesAdhere to payroll data and analysis deadlines to facilitate payroll processingSupport the creation of SmartTime (Kronos T&A) data and TRS data from sites to ensure a smooth transfer to payroll data to live payrollShare information in a timely basis and communicate payroll issues promptly to the Payroll Hub managerWork closely with the PPC team, People Services, our external Payroll Provider, Finance & Operations to ensure rigorous control systems are in placeMonthly checking and reconciliation of site payroll reportsAct as the first contact point to assist with the resolution of pay queries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain site payroll SOPsValidate and raise OCP's for site colleagues where requiredSupport the overpayment recovery process as requiredParticipation in the monthly SPOC meetingsPerforming manual calculations for Average Holiday Pay and sickness payments as requiredAct as the SmartTime SuperUser for allocated sites, providing non-superusers with training and ad hoc supportLiaise with PPC/Finance/People Services teams regarding data aspects of payroll decisionsAdherence to DHL processes / controlsManage daily workflow tasks completing in line with agreed SLA's WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?We'd love to hear from you if you have the following experience but don't hesitate to apply if you don't tick every box on this page - we're great at spotting talent and potential in everyone: Excellent analytical and numerical skillsOverall understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and calculation methodologyExperience of strategic Payroll and Time & Attendance solutions and processesConfident user of Microsoft Office applicationsPayroll experienceRelevant qualifications or equivalent work experience in Payroll or Finance functions desirable WHY CHOOSE US?
