A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Global Payroll team, supporting our internal employees, and employed contractor payrolls in a fast paced but rewarding environment.


Some previous UK Payroll experience is essential. Payroll experience in an additional country is desirable but N/A. Both internal & external training will be provided to assist the successful candidate to become knowledgeable within the Global remit. The role is based in our brilliant Newcastle global HQ, close to Central St. Once fully trained you have the opportunity to work from home on a hybrid basis.

What you'll be doing?

Overseeing key Payroll compliance, the Payroll Officer will work independently to ensure all team members and payrolls are legislatively compliant. They will become the first to know of upcoming legislative/compliance changes and will produce bulletins and/or training sessions to roll out the updates to the administration team including to the Payroll Team Leader/Head Of. They will partner with the business stakeholders to develop key relationships and will educate on any upcoming changes which will impact the employee’s pay or payroll costs.

· Reviewing existing processes to ensure these meet legislative and compliance requirements.

· Communicating with external ROW Payroll providers to ensure all are processed compliantly.

· Researching upcoming legislation changes & implementing via bulletins/training to the team

· Ensuring all Third Party payments and submissions are processed on time & accurately

· Supporting the Team with complex legislative queries.

· Reviewing all Tax documents received & supporting the team to complete any actions

· Overseeing all Workers Compensation from a Payroll perspective.

· POC for all audits as and when required.

· Supporting the team with all Year End Activities.

· Assisting onboarding of new payrolls/projects.

· Deputising in the absence of a Team Leader.

· Ad Hoc Tasks.
