About WorkBuzz

We’re recruiting for a People Scientist to help us create one of Europe’s most admired HR tech SaaS companies. The world of work is changing. Millions of us are working from home, video calls have become a way of life and we’re using new tools to collaborate with our colleagues.

At WorkBuzz, we help forward-thinking companies navigate these challenges, build great cultures and make smarter people decisions. The WorkBuzz platform provides real-time feedback from their people, advanced analytics and guides their managers where to focus improving.

Our vision is to reshape the future of work and help improve the working lives of 1 million people. And we’ve just raised our first round of institutional investment to help make it happen!

Role Overview

We’ve created a new position within our People Science (PS)team to invest in junior talent and bring a fresh perspective to our thinking. The role is junior and whilst it would be a bonus to meet somebody with a year or so’s experience, we’re just as open to the right candidate being entry-level. What’s important to us is that this person has the skills to apply under guidance and training, the right mindset and attitude, and a demonstrable interest or history in this space.

If you are the right candidate, then you’re a whizz with data analytics, not afraid of number crunching, you’re a superstar project manager and you’re not afraid to put your hand up to support everyone across the People Science team across a variety of projects. Given that this is an entry-level/junior position, it’s essentially a support role, which means a lot of your work will be administrative and coordination. In turn, you’ll be exposed to the full end to end offering of a People Science function, learning from the best and being given proper mentoring and coaching as you go. Depending on your interests and strengths, there will be opportunities to focus and develop further in the data insights and analytics route, or to get some exposure to the client-facing side of People Science. There are so many opportunities and career pathways to explore in this field, and we’ll help you find yours.

Responsibilities

    • Working with client survey data, to spot the most interesting and relevant trends and insights. Whilst you will have a clear brief and support from the wider PS team, you will need to be comfortable interrogating data and using techniques such as segmentation and regression analysis.
    • Working closely with the PS team to build insight reports that will be used for Executive-level client presentations.
    • Quality checking and proofing on report packs to ensure data integrity and accuracy in our client reports.
    • Support wider research and thought-leadership through data analysis and insights from across our wider dataset. For example, inputting into content around the 6-generation workforce.
    • Assist on designing questions sets and surveys, focusing on engagement and/or specific elements of the employee experience e.g. “Wellbeing; ED&I; hybrid working”.
    • Project coordination and delivery of ad hoc tasks to support the PS team. For example, this will include updating and monitoring the PS delivery calendar, logging and scheduling in new client work, and preparing materials for client-facing sessions or workshops.
    • Support the generation of new People Science content to offer further value to our clients and contacts e.g. webinars, resource guides, toolkits.

About You

    • Essential: Demonstrable interest in and passion for organisational culture, employee engagement, and employee research.
    • Essential: An ability to work with large data-sets and to spot the most interesting trends and insights within them.
    • Ideal: If entry-level, a degree or qualification relevant to the role (for example, MSc in Organisational/Occupational Psychology)
    • Attitude: curious mindset, great listener, proactive do’er
    • Skills: attention to detail, willingness to speak up and contribute ideas
    • Communication: articulate and confident communicator
