If so, we have an exciting, brand-new, opportunity for a Performance & Development Business Partner to join our growing global team.

Reporting to the Global Head of Performance & Development, you will be responsible for supporting our integrated business strategy by delivering effective performance and development support across a portfolio of businesses that meets the needs and future aspirations of our core employees and drives organisational performance through curiosity and continuous learning.

The primary focus is to improve the performance of our workforce at an individual, team and organisational level by identifying and addressing capability gaps with innovative development solutions that address a spectrum of needs, from initiating and guiding new starters in the world of recruitment through to inspiring leaders to develop and deliver transformative practices; in doing so enrich Impellam's culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steer the development, regionalisation and embedding of the Global Performance and Development strategy within an assigned portfolio of brands
  • Realise a continuous professional development offering that is performance focused, insight led and learner centric
  • Support leaders to develop modern learning skills
  • Develop portfolio specific performance development solutions to support career paths and progression
  • Identify critical business capability priorities to devise personal development interventions
  • Influence management at all levels to collaborate and take responsibility for performance development initiatives
  • Support the production of development materials, such as handbooks, workshops, manuals, digital resources etc.
  • Integrate adult learning best practices into development solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate feedback and effectiveness of all solutions, routinely reporting on results and outcomes
  • Ensure that all development resources are accessible to all, diverse and inclusive in their design, nature and content
  • Marketing and comms of function, resources & development solutions
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR, Talent Acquisition and global P&D team to enable the delivery of the Impellam global people strategy
  • Proactively develop and maintain a close working relationship with the business in order to ensure we have a robust and high impact learning strategy

The Candidate

You will be:

  • A first-class communicator with a professional and personable disposition and strong stakeholder influencing skills
  • Commercially aware and have a high degree of business acumen
  • Enthusiastic about self-led learning enabled by digital technologies
  • Strong in understanding adult learning methodologies and heutagogical approaches to ongoing development
  • Experienced in developing, executing and embedding management development support
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office suite, to ideally an advanced level
  • Experienced in providing high quality development coordination
  • Engaging and effective in virtual facilitation/delivery of performance support via video conferencing software - MS Teams, Zoom, or similar
  • Resilient in managing competing priorities with the ability to work well under pressure, maintaining attention to detail
  • Adaptable, resilient and positive working through organisational growth, transformation and evolving landscapes
  • Great at working as part of a highly collaborative team, but can equally work autonomously

Whilst a background within the recruitment and staffing industry would be highly desired, it is not essential, and we are very open to hearing from you if you have a proven background within adult learning and development in other sectors (particularly professional services).
