Job Description

The Role


Our client is looking for someone to have at least 4-6 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or a credit reviewer is preferable, gained within a reputable Bank. You will need to have experience of leading on Project Finance deals and cooperating with team members as well as other departments to evaluate Project Finance deals within a Financial Institution.


Experience of analysis or monitoring of UK offshore /Irish finance deals either as a front officer, or a middle officer with a minimum of 4-6-years’ experience.


The branch's project finance business primarily targets Social infrastructure, mainstream Renewables i.e digital infrastructure, Optic Fibre UK and Ireland, therefore the job holder is expected to have experience and knowledge of these sectors.


Principle Purpose of the Job:


There are two main purpose: 1) To lead other team members performing due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions and 2) to make investment proposal for Branch’s credit committee.


Principle Elements of the Job:


To lead other team members performing Due Diligence (credit analysis) of new project finance transactions and to make investment proposal for Branch’s credit committee.

To manage documentation process of project finance transactions with Branch’s legal team.

To monitor existing project finance transactions the Branch invested.

To put internal credit ratings on project finance transactions regularly and ad-hoc basis (if credit event occurs).

To attend lender meetings for monitoring purpose if needed.

To create (internal authorisation process) to get an approval by Branch’s management when a borrower issues a consent request for lenders.

To conduct research on various topics and produce reports such as new sectors or new countries, regulatory framework in Europe related with the Branch credit portfolio as and when required on ad-hoc basis.

To understand the Bank’s credit risk management framework, especially the Bank’s Internal Rating System.

To explore and build relationships with new sponsors, FAs, and lenders to find new opportunities in the project finance and other financial products.

To attend meetings with relevant stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and FAs for monitoring.

To assist a middle-back team in Structured Finance Department, such as KYC when closing the transactions, funding request to the Branch’s treasury, and drawdown over the course of loan life.

To assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.

To update the Policy & Procedures of Structured Finance Department as and when needed.

To conduct regular/occasional internal self-check.

To provide general clerical support to the Senior Manager.


Salary


£80,000 k pa - £90,000 k pa, plus bonus, excellent pension, healthcare and other related benefits.
