We are recruiting on behalf of a brand new practice in Romford, Essex for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon. This role is full or part time with shifts from 9am to 7pm. There will be no weekends for the time being but the practice is looking to extend their hours in the future.

The practice comprises of a team of 4 vets, 4 RVNs and 6 CCAs. They actively encourage personal development and happy to support post graduate qualifications financially. This new practice offers the right environment for a variety of caseloads and provides equipment needed, including a CT machine in order to work up cases fully.

They are looking for a Vet who will provide a high standard of patient care and someone who can establish and build solid client relationships and contribute towards the growth of the practice. Ideally, they will be comfortable with some sole charge experience but really enjoy being part of a team.

They will be an enthusiastic team player and have great communication skills. They will be able to perform thorough work ups. Ideally, they will have an area of interest that they would like to pursue.

  • Type: Small animal
  • Hours: Full or part time shifts from 9am to 7pm

  • Computer system: RX Works
  • Consultations: 15 minutes

About you:

  • You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations and be able to perform routine surgeries on your own
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will be happy to share knowledge and mentor others where required
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player
  • Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported

Package

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
