Job Reference (b1aab) JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE Personal AssistantHOURS 4 hours per week to be worked 1 day after school or 8 hours every other weekend.Rate of Pay £12.40phLOCATION My own home and in the wider communityPURPOSE OF JOB I have been my son’s main carer since he was young. Harry is 17 years old and has a diagnosis of Autism and he has learning disabilities. He is a happy, friendly young man with a passion for anything to do with Godzilla, Lego Bionicles and Sonic the Hedgehog. A Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support Harry in the community to develop his self-image and his independence skills. The PA will support Harry to develop his verbal and non-verbal communication skills. The PA will support Harry to access public transport, and to go shopping, cinema trips or computer rooms and visits to farms.If Harry spends his own money when you are supporting him in the community, you must ensure the receipts are kept and given to me.I will reimburse you for lunch when appropriate and other additional expenses. You must provide me with receipts in order I can reimburse you. SUPERVISION Harry’s personal assistant will be directed by and accountable to me in all aspects of their work. You must always ask what I require and not make assumptions about any aspect of the assistance I need or how it should be carried out.
