It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.Job Purpose: I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant who will be willing to support me to access the community by accompanying me to social and leisure activities. This could include going to the shops, attending clubs and sporting activities, going to community meet-ups and engaging in interests such as nature walks, museum visits and general days out. I am interested in art, reading and nature and would like to engage more with these activities. I really enjoy swimming and would like to be more physically active. Location: Norwich, NR2Details:- Support with socialising- Support with paying in shops- Pushing my wheelchair when I am tired- Going out into the communityPersonal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.Essential:- Outgoing and sociable- Enthusiastic- Open minded- Understanding- Patient - ReliableDesirable:- Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle for work would be desirable although this is not essential because there are good public transport links where I live. I would need help to access and use these.- Similar interests including art, reading and nature.Summary Terms and Conditions- The rate of pay for this position is £11.68 p/h.- Hours and times of work as follows: 8hrs a week (days and times to be discussed at interview).- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months. - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.- Access to free Care Skills training for employer workers.The post is subject to the following:- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
