Due to the expansion of our current team, we have an opportunity for a PGMs Options Trader where you will execute and optimise price risk management / mitigation and develop and execute financial and physical trading strategies / activities for the PGM business.

Job Description :
- Develop effective, efficient and profitable management of market risk solutions through options and other derivatives for both equity and third-party volumes as part of the global PGM trading strategies
- Execute buying and selling of options and other derivatives via exchanges or OTC markets
- Devise pricing and risk management tools to allow delivery of products and PnL
- Extend capability to include strategies for Supply Risk Management (SRM) that add value either profitably or in a risk reducing capacity
- Stay abreast of precious metals market developments and competitor strategies to develop and propose value maximizing trading strategies to the Head of Trading
- Work with banks and brokers to execute the agreed trading strategies
- Analyse, interpret and communicate market price activity and signals internally
This role is in the PGMs Department at a Band 5 level reporting to the Head of Trading, PGMs.
Qualifications :
- Advanced physical & financial options trading experience (within Precious Metals markets would be advantageous)
- Advanced mathematical and critical thinking, hypothesis building and testing
- Highly skilled in systems and model development to enable pricing and risk management of trading portfolios
- Mastery in the field of understanding and application of risk management principles
- Advanced ability to articulate trading strategies to a broader audience
- Advanced expertise in global commodity markets and their drivers
