The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Head of Legal & Compliance implementing the Legal and Compliance Program in the UK. The position will be the primary contract for the UK Leadership Team providing the highest quality legal and compliance services, ensure that the business has the information required on legal and compliance matters to make informed decision and to identify, overcome and manage legal and compliance risks.





Responsibilities of the Legal & Compliance Manager UK include:

  • Ensure the business conducts its business according to applicable legal, Compliance and data privacy legislation in the UK.
  • Prepare, review and negotiate all UK contracts, legal documents and business agreements. Draft, review and approve client contracts.
  • Provide support to the Head of Legal and Compliance regarding any governmental requests and or investigations.
  • Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in the oversight and direction of internal audits as well as local monitoring activities.
  • Facilitate and manage the appropriate use of outside counsel.
  • Providing pragmatic and timely legal support on diverse local and international legal, compliance, transactional and commercial issues
  • Establish local annual training plans of the affiliate, covering compliance SOP's and processes to ensure they are clearly understood and implemented.
  • Perform role-based training on compliance SOP's and processes for the affiliate such as PMCPA Code of Practice
  • Engage in internal and external Compliance Initiatives and networks to share best practices/learning.
  • Support the annual UK ToV process to ensure all HCP payment are captured and reported

A solicitor with previous pharmaceutical experience
