Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced physiotherapist to join our community hospital therapy team on a part time basis.

The successful candidate will have an broad knowledge of treating complex patients and will be working as part of an MDT providing a highly valued rehabilitation service. They will also be expected to provide holistic comprehensive assessments and treatment to our service users.

The successful applicant will be proficient, knowledgeable, and competent. Educated to Degree or Diploma level in PT and HPC registration. Excellent CPD opportunities, structured supervision and appraisal systems are in place. You will be responsible for supervision and appraisals of staff and students within the physiotherapy team based on the ward. You will continue to develop in this role through the acquisition of further skills most training can be accessed through the Trust Learning and Education Dept.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist therapy skills to the therapy team.

To assess and treat own caseload, which may include complex presentations and to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner.

To assist senior staff in the education and supervision of junior colleagues, assistants and students.

To assist senior staff in daily management of the team and provision of therapy service, deputising for the ward manager in their absence.

To assist senior staff in development and maintenance of an efficient and effective therapy service.

To contribute to the inter-disciplinary working within the therapy team and Locality by teaching, learning & practicing inter-disciplinary skills & techniques as defined by an agreed competency framework or training scheme.
