Job Description

Our Pipeline Group (PG) Global Welding Development Centre (GWDC) employs a range of specialist equipment and technology (e.g. computerised welding) and personnel to perform the highest quality of work to meet exacting criteria. We continue to develop welding technology to fulfil our global project requirements within the ever-evolving energy sector, aligning our expertise to the needs of our clients both now and in the future.The PG Production Engineer is a base/office role, part of a team responsible for the development, management and deployment of Subsea7’s pipeline production capability. As our technical focal point the role supports live projects, site-based production activities and also provides technical input to Tenders.This is a fantastic opportunity to blend technical know-how with the application of processes, planning, scheduling and performance analysis to achieve a successful mobilisation. This role will be fully based in our Old Kilpatrick GWDC. While not intended to be assigned to overseas production sites, occasional local or international travel may be required.Energy industry experience is desirable but we also welcome applications from candidates working in other sectors who can demonstrate role relevant experience. What will your responsibilities involve? Participate in and contribute to a positive HSEQ culture, ensuring familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.Ensure company and subcontractor activities and equipment are readied to meet project mobilisation deadlines. This includes preparation of operational procedures and planning documents.Assist with and oversee the creation of onsite operational documentation including Lift Plans, and Fabrication Layout Plans.Maintain operational records and produce site activity reports for management and clients to include; base case schedule, daily progress report, downtime analysis.Issue GWDC Weekly Production Report and close out reports.Attend internal and external meetings, including progress reviews.Record and issue meeting minutes, as required, ensuring action points are clearly understood and completed effectively and on-time.Liaise with client and sub-contractor personnel as requiredAnalyse and evaluate production progress, pro-actively developing solutions for any safety, quality, or technical issues.Contribute, as required, to tendering activities to review forecast productivity, equipment, and personnel levels during bid.
