Planning Engineer - Maintenance
Falkirk/Grangemouth- based
Monday – Friday, day shifts
£45,000 - £55,000 plus benefits
Several Planning Engineers are wanted permanently by a global client of ours. The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified and have experience in implementing and improving processes as well as proven experience in change management and improving systems, ideally within a Maintenance Engineering environment.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent upon experience and qualifications) plus benefits.
Overview of the Planning Engineer role:
- Provide hands-on support to technicians in maintaining critical equipment including pumps, fans, pipework, and safety systems.
- Monitor and manage maintenance costs, identifying areas for improvement and initiating necessary actions to meet targets.
- Develop and review maintenance strategies in alignment with production, supply chain, and product strategies.
- Utilize data analysis to identify and implement reliability improvement programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Key skills and qualifications required for the Planning Engineer role:
- Experience within a similar role with sound knowledge of engineering principles – this could be either Mechanically or Electrically biased.
- Have an understanding and continuous practice of maintenance tools and techniques.
- Possess a relevant degree qualification and have previous experience in engineering and maintenance of process plant or related equipment.
