Planning Manager DCO - Utility Scale Solar & BESS - Global Developer
D R Newitt is partnered with an international IPP who focus on Solar, BESS & Wind projects across the UK & Europe. You will play a vital role in helping to develop current and future projects for their UK business unit and adding to their established 3.5GW pipeline. In your new role you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the UK development team with all current and future planning processes.
- Working closely with the team on identifying suitable development opportunities around connection opportunities.
- Managing planning consultants and other contractors appointed by the company to assist in the planning process.
- Reviewing team-originated land opportunities from a planning viewpoint, in cooperation with the team and their input regarding aspects of long-term requirements around construction, operation and asset management.
- Managing key stakeholders through the planning process and into the site construction and operational phase.
- Attend industry and discipline events, webinars and shows
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Detailed understanding of the UK planning system.
Knowledge and experience of the TCPA application process, and ideally the DCO process (including EIA development).
Prior experience of working in utility scale solar and/or BESS would be beneficial.
Experience of project management and stakeholder engagement.
Chartered status and Full Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or other relevant professional body (or working towards membership).
