Job Description
Pivotal are currently working in partnership with a Global manufacturer of high quality recycled packaging. Our client are a highly reputable, well established organisation boasting over 110 sites globally with a major foothold across Europe and USA. Due to continued growth our client are now seeking an operationally led Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day requirements of the business with regard to Safety, Quality, Costs and Downtime
- Create a customer focused continuous improvement culture
- Participate in the Development of a Production Strategy to improve production performance, maintenance performance, customer service and quality
- Create a culture to encourage and develop all employees with clear responsibilities and ownership
- Keep up to date with new technologies and machinery co-ordinating with the Group’s Production and Logistics Director. Look for new developments in production, visiting suppliers and other plants
- Participate in the Development of the Investment Plan and People Plan which supports the Production Strategy
- Build an appropriate meeting and report structure which tracks performance against targets, and is used to review and improve performance and processes
- Build an appropriate meeting and report structure for performance management assessment of the team with action plans to be followed
Role Requirements:
- Candidates who apply will be required to hold a degree within Engineering
- Experience of managing the complete operational function within a large, fast paced manufacturing plant
- Experience within Packaging would be an advantage
- Chartered Engineer status would be a plus
- Negotiating techniques and skills, dispute resolution, etc.
- Team Management, Leadership.
