Insignis Talent are working with a global leader in communications systems, who are actively seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join their team. In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead the development of cutting-edge equipment vital to powering transmission cables worldwide. Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of power delivery systems, defining system architecture and requirements.
- Lead the conceptualization and design of power electronic systems, considering factors such as efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Allocate design budgets and specifications to functional blocks, ensuring alignment with overarching system requirements.
- Collaborate with subsystem teams to propose designs within existing constraints.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for integration into future products.
- Determine hardware and software partitioning to optimize system reliability, safety, and cost.
- Prepare comprehensive requirement specifications for hardware and software engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
- Proven track record in system design and electronics architecture, with hands-on experience in R&D product development.
- Strong proficiency in writing technical specifications and defining system requirements.
- Familiarity with hardware systems and electronics design principles.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills. Expertise in high-voltage power supply design (up to 30kW) and software control loops would be highly desirable.
