Job Description

MG OMD are searching for an experienced PPC Account Director to join the team. This person will find themselves working closely with all the major search (PPC) platforms to deliver best in class advertising campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest household brands. They will also be directly responsible for the team of specialists working across their specific account hub.

You will be working as part of the Resolution Media team @ MG OMD, made up of 100+ specialists working across PPC, paid social and organic performance (SEO).

You will work as part of a smaller team focused on a specific client (or group of clients) alongside Assistants, Account Executives and Directors who will support you to deliver the work required. As a part of the wider Resolution team, you will be part of a large community of experts who work on some of the biggest brands in the UK including John Lewis, Virgin Media, Renault-Nissan, Sony Pictures. The entire team meet on a weekly basis, and we encourage knowledge sharing and upskilling between team members wherever possible.

Responsibilities

We are searching for someone who has a proven track record working across paid search (PPC) advertising for large clients/businesses.

The Account Director role involves being the senior PPC contact for the clients that you work on, becoming a valued member of their marketing team. This person is ultimately responsible for setting the strategic direction of PPC on their account(s) and should be comfortable selling this strategic direction to clients and stakeholders elsewhere in the business, also ensuring that PPC fits seamlessly with other paid media activations.

You will also be overseeing more junior members of the Resolution PPC team and ultimately will be responsible for their delivery of high-quality work in three key areas:

Implementation - Overseeing the set up & launch of multiple search advertising campaigns at any one time, sometimes across multiple clients. Correctly balancing attention, and that of the team, across these multiple campaigns to ensure quality of work is guaranteed. Ultimately responsible for ensuring that the team follow QA processes and that campaigns are closely monitored to ensure good performance. Ensuring all strategic projects are on track and progress updates are supplied to key stakeholders.

Reporting - Your team will be responsible for producing detailed and high-quality reports and analysis for our clients. You should be able to confidently spot trends and insights and

deliver learnings to clients that have a real impact on the success of their business. You should be able to coach your team to write detailed and meaningful analysis that takes clients understanding of PPC to the next level.

Planning - Writing detailed search advertising plans in excel - which can be easily understood by the client and once signed off, are translatable to the relevant platforms. Creating accompanying PowerPoint slides to help present these plans to clients in a clear and detailed manner. You should also be prepared to coach your immediate team on PPC planning to improve their standard of work in this area.
