We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Clinical Lead to join our healthcare team at HMP Winchester, a category B men’s Prison located in Winchester, Hampshire.

In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

The working hours for this role is Mon – Fri 09:00 – 17:00 (including bank holidays).

This position is full time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to £54,600per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Primary Care Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients.
  • Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
  • Coach, line manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance
  • Deliver workshops to develop the team’s learning in various areas such as clinical processes, documentation and patient care
  • Support the process of patient concerns, attend, contribute and progress actions from HMPPS/partnership meetings

Qualifications & Experience required

  • Current professional qualification (NMC)
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
