Client: UK Leading procurement & Supply Chain Consultancy

Location: London (very flexible)

As the UKs leading Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist for the social care sector, my client has been defining and maintain core client relationships since its inception in 2008. Contracting with major charities, housing associations and care businesses they have grown from £200k worth of spend to now over £2bn across their clients, not just in the care sector but across manufacturing, supply chain and defense.

Due to this rapid growth they are now seeking a highly ambitious procurement professionals to join their award winning team as a Principal Consultant to work across a broad range of projects from BAU to transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved in a high-performing team environment, who recognize achievements and work together closely to provide exceptional standard of service to their clients.

As a Principal Consultant your role responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and project managing client delivery savings projects, supporting on cost reductions and analysing cost reduction opportunities
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to best advise on market knowledge and best in practice procurement processes
  • Identify and convert potential sales opportunities to retain new business opportunities

What they are looking for from you?

  • Demonstratable experience of delivering procurement projects with some strategy development and supporting category management in either public or private sector
  • Experience developing relationships and working with stakeholders and suppliers
  • A background in a plethora of indirect categories
  • Degree educated working towards CIPS - they offer sponsorship
