Job Description
Are you a diligent and dedicated Principal Designer looking to further your career in the construction industry? G&T is currently seeking an enthusiastic, stand-alone candidate who can hit the ground running leading on projects of varying size and complexity, whilst also working within a larger team. The successful candidate will work on exciting projects in all sectors, ranging from £50k to £500m+.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree qualified – must have design/construction related degree
- Essential- CMaps qualification with the APS
- Previous experience in a construction related role, eg engineer
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering Principal Design services in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
- Able to work on own initiative
- A strategic thinker with broad problem solving skills and a drive to overcome obstacles to obtain results
- Personally committed to the delivery of excellent client service
- Positive attitude with a willingness to get involved
- Strong communication skills with experience working in a client focused environment
- Experience working in a client focused environment - working closely with clients, updating clients on progress, while taking personal responsibility in dealing with clients and striving to exceed their expectations
- Preferred- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- NEBOSH Fire Safety or similar fire related qualification
