Nexus has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join the Nexus Engineering Department at our offices in Gosforth.

As the Principal Engineer (E&M) you will be responsible for assessing the condition and specifying the renewal of a wide range of assets, mainly associated with the Tyne and Wear Metro System.
Creating and updating relevant standards, advising front line teams and working with internal and external suppliers.
Your portfolio of technical skills will include High and Low Voltage electrical systems, lifts, escalators and building services.
Experience of overhead line traction systems would be desirable but is not essential, neither is general railway experience as appropriate training will be given.
