As an engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Joint Development Manufacturing projects from concept to validation against Sky requirements for Sky's next generation consumer products that go into millions of homes. You will be responsible for the technical hardware documentation, compliance documentation, design verification testing, functional test software validation, from product concept through to mass production.
What you'll do
Write, update and control technical hardware documentation for the project in alignment with the JDM partners.
Support the project lead in delivering Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) projects to the business.
Support project lead in review of hardware designs from JDM partners against Sky Technical and Compliance Requirements.
Write and update compliance documentation in partnership with the Compliance Team and JDM partners.
Communicate effectively with the project lead and project management team on project status.
Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams in Sky and JDM partners on device bring-up and product validation.
Contribute to technical investigations, identifying and applying creative problem-solving methods and debugging techniques.
What you'll bring
Previous experience in a hardware engineering role, including analogue and digital circuit verification testing.
Previous experience of product compliance testing to EU regulations.
Understanding of electronic hardware bring-up, debug, and validation techniques.
Proficiency reading and understanding requirements, schematics and PCB layouts.
Experience using typical laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written skills, attention to detail and process driven.
A positive can-do attitude whilst working in a fast-paced, energetic team.

This location takes some beating: we're practically in Brentwood station, which has regular trains to London Liverpool Street. If you find it easier to drive, there's some onsite parking, while Chatham Way car park is a short walk away.
