Job Description
Global E&C are currently seeking a Principal Piping Designer to support us on a full-time basis.
Working as part of our modifications delivery hub, you will be working on various workscopes including brownfield modifications, and energy transition projects.
Your duties will include:
- Executing Plant Layout and Piping discipline design activities within budget and schedule.
- Providing discipline specific input into tenders and proposals as required.
- Assessing and continuously improving working practices, systems, personnel and team efficiency and performance.
- Supporting the Lead Designer as required to allocate work, supervise personnel, and ensure delivery to schedule.
- Production and checking of discipline deliverables and input to multidiscipline deliverables.
- Maintaining project plan and provide progress updates for assigned scopes.
- Ensuring compliance to applicable/up to date standards, regulations, codes, and procedures.
- Conducting ad-hoc offshore/site surveys.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of participating in teams of Engineers, Designers and working to technical standards.
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry with HNC in appropriate Engineering subject.
- Competency in the use of AutoCAD 2D and 3D software and ReCAP cloudscan software.
- Competency in the use of E3D and associated cloudscan software.
- Competency in quality control and engineering procedures.
