We are looking to hire a Principal Product Designer to join our team in London. (Hybrid)

Role summary

Our user-centred approach keeps us passionate about delivering our customers what they need. We are focused on designing the most beautiful, accessible, and valuable experiences in complex financial systems.

You will create new and innovative design solutions that address the very particular needs of our users. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working across all stages of the product lifecycle.

Our best designers champion user needs in their work, bringing project partners and team members with them to deliver intuitive and innovative experiences.

What you'll be doing:

· deliver in a complex partner environment and leading on a wide range of large engagements

· lead the solution of larger-scale undefined problem spaces. For example, "How do portfolio managers share ideas, charts, and layouts with other users?"

· provide specialist advice to middle and senior management to resolve sophisticated issues

· demonstrate clear prioritisation and planning for activities to ensure timely delivery

· be an authority in one or more design fields, provide direction and support for your own team and the wider design team

You'll bring:

· significant relevant experience with or without formal education. Whatever the route you've taken, you should have a firm understanding of your area of expertise as well as the wider design and product delivery practice

· a long history of successfully delivering project work within the complex enterprise industries

· demonstrable experience in a similar role and able to show evidence of how the brand affects the approach to product design

· experience in guiding multi-disciplinary design teams

· outstanding knowledge and experience in your own design field, as well as deep appreciation and understanding of all others

* 10+ years experience
* Proven track record (5+years) in working with complex product design/agile environments (not art directors, graphic designers)
* Ability to work end-to-end from discovery through to delivery
* Ability to work autonomously following a brief and take direction from design leads
* Ability to work well with the design system and existing patterns as their first point of call in solution design
* Ability to deliver work and be very hands on, not strategic designers but able to point out strategic challenges/opportunities to mgmt
* Ability to push back and ask 'why'
* Ability to balance pragmatism and purism
* Ability to work in an immature agile environment
* Ability to liaise and build great relationships with multiple mangers
* Delivering clear updates to mgmt on progress and blockers to design leads
* Good Stakeholder mgmt
* Used to working in fast paced delivery environments
* Great communication skills
* Work collaboratively with cross functional team
* Ability to work with remote teams
* Ability to work with or quickly adapt to using Figma as our tool
