We are based in South West London and our team can work out of any of 5 locations as well as remotely although this role will require regular office attendance in support of business needs as organisations promote business as usual. The SLLP is seeking to recruitaPrincipal Lawyer with a proven track record in local government matters either working in a council or in private practice with a local government client base. This role will assist in managing a team of property lawyers which has a diverse work load dealing withcomplex and high profile matters including supporting of new build housing through regeneration projects, guiding clients through governance processes relating to innovative and challenging delivery structures for acquisitions, disposals and development and asset management support. You should have the ability to handle negotiations and provide advice on all property related matters as well as overseeing the work of a team of property lawyers so you will need to be committed to helping other develop skills and knowledge in this area as well as growing your own leadership, legal and professional capabilities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, draftingskills and the ability to provide legal advice to a variety of audiences, including senior officers and Members.
