Principal Software Engineer – Global Investment/Asset Manager - £180,000 plus package
OFS are partnered with a major Investment Management fund who currently have almost $1.5 trillion in assets under management.
This is an opportunity to be a part of their continued growth whilst having a significant impact on the technical direction within the business.
You’ll operate as a hands-on engineer whilst occasionally leading teams on large, complex projects.
You’ll also:
- Create firm-wide technical direction and contribute to the formalisation of strategic decisions
- Deliver holistic solutions to difficult technical challenges
- Provide technology leadership
Core Tech Stack: Java | Python | AWS
What you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience within a software engineering role
- High-level expertise in Java
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of different development styles (OO, Functional etc.)
- Strong coding skills across various languages and frameworks
- Deep understanding of automated testing
- Proficient designing complex database schema
- Knowledge of AWS and/or other cloud providers
- Prior experience working in financial services, ideally within a Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, etc.
- Be present in the London office at least 2 days per week
Base salary: £150,000 - £180,000 depending on experience
