Job Description:

We are looking for a Principal Strategy Consultant who is an expert in logistics and supply chain management with an understanding of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to join the EMEA Business Network Customer Support Group reporting to the RVP, Cloud Services.
Enterprises are increasingly looking to global providers to advise and help them digitise their supply chain in an ever more complex environment as well as advising on how integrating with other internal applications can add value through analytics and AI. Increasing the value of services to the business is fast becoming a number one requirement to automate the mundane and increase the value of human interaction in the value chain.
As a Principal Strategy Consultant, you will be primarily responsible for defining and delivering a new advisory and consulting service within our Business Network services portfolio. You will support our EMEA sales team in generating sales for this new service as one of our key growth initiatives.

What you will be doing:

  • Define a new advisory and consulting service within our Business Network services portfolio as a new revenue stream that also stimulates further sales growth for the cloud-based integration services platform from OpenText Business Network. The service should provide expert discovery and analysis to identify business “pains” or opportunities that can be better addressed through improvements to business process or services from OpenText.
  • Work with marketing and sales on competitive intelligence, sales collateral, and services positioning
  • Develop required artefacts and templates to be used in delivery of the new advisory and consulting services.
  • Advise and consult with customers on business process, supply chain management and new technology initiatives as part of delivering the service
  • Present results of advisory and consulting service as well as compelling business cases for any recommendations to customers for both technical and c-level audiences
  • Work closely with solution definition and implementation teams to scope and document projects and estimates for proposals. Ensure smooth transition advisory services to solutions implementation and operations
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the broad OpenText technology portfolio at a level sufficient to understand and communicate “the art of the possible” in terms of business process and solution support

Experience and skills:

  • Extensive experience in a logistics and supply change management consulting role in a wide range of businesses and industry sectors
  • Experienced in consulting with customers at all levels from operational staff to CxO, recognising the different needs of individuals at different levels and in different functions.
  • Able to communicate complex concepts and issues effectively, selecting language, tone, and format perfectly targeted to the audience. Comfortable in a variety of customer interactions including presentation and whiteboarding, facilitating meeting, be “good on your feet”, able to handle objections, disruptions or other unexpected inputs with confidence and professionalism.
  • Expertly makes compelling value-centric presentations
  • Willingness to provide the customer with leadership, not just advice on options
  • Conceptual understanding of different ERP systems and integration including SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft and others – both cloud and off-cloud
  • Experience of implementing ERP systems for supply chain management with experience of SAP ECC to 4/HANA migrations desirable
  • Knowledge of ERP, B2B and data integration with experience of API desirable
  • Understanding of supply/value chains and best practices in various industries – core focus areas are high-tech, CPG, retail, automotive, life sciences, and manufacturing
  • Excellent customer relations including written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to speak French and/or German would be a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate a team attitude while enjoying a high level of independence
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis
