Job Description
Salary: £28k to £32k pa (depending on experience)
A large print and packaging group with offices in West Yorkshire is looking for a buyer to not only purchase outside work but also other products for the business. Candidates can either be in a role dedicated to buying or in production control which incorporates an element of buying.
You will leverage your industry knowledge and networking skills to build supplier relationships and manage contracts with key suppliers to drive the best possible results. We are looking for someone who stands out from the crowd in terms of their communication and interpersonal skills. Building sustainable relationships with suppliers will be key to not only making your mark in this role but in the company as a whole.
Such exemplary communication skills will also come into hand with liaising internally, as you will be working closely with sales, product marketing, design, and production teams.
Candidates’ negotiation skills must be second-to-none, as it will be the buyer’s duty to ensure all materials are purchased at the most competitive price and that the delivery and quality & service delivered by suppliers meet the required standards for all projects. You will also be an organized individual, responsible for end-to-end associated administration.
