The ideal candidate will have management experience in a high volume and short lead time production environment.ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for the production of all printed productsEnsure all process supervisors are aware of performance requirements and are meeting their set KPIsOrganise, control and monitor the flow of production and ensure quality is maintainedCreate and maintain capacity plans to ensure all staff and machines are running at maximum efficiency.Manage production schedulesEnsure departmental budgets are met.Oversee stock management and orderingEnsure all machines are maintained and all team members adhere to 5S principlesMaintain strong communication between all team members and other departments and encourage team members to be open about ideas and suggestions for improvements.Embody the company’s 5 core values and ensure these are at the heart of everything you and your team do.Work with Growth Team on product development to ensure efficient production processes for all new product launches.Monitor all supervisor performances and work with them to monitor full teams’ performance, including regular one on ones.Run daily team meetingsCreate and maintain quality control procedures and ensure any order ideas are dealt with pro-actively and efficientlyExperience/Skills Required.Previous experience managing a production team (4 years preferred)Industry experience of print specifically screen printing (4 years preferred)Analytical approach to reviewing working practices, equipment etc.Strong leadership/people management skillsTeam buildingStrong knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations managementKnowledge and experience working with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, 6 Sigma etc.BudgetingExcellent IT skillsAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation (both verbally and written)Be able to be both proactive and able to react speedily when neededPerform well under pressureThe ability to manage changeBe able to work with teams/other departmentsBe innovativeHave good judgement and decision making skillsThe ability to manage multiple prioritiesThis is a great opportunity for someone who ticks the above boxes to join a company which encourages a positive and enjoyable working environment.Share this job:
