Salary £28,000 - £33,500 (including base salary, company bonus and shift allowance) plus pension and private healthcare
We have several exciting opportunities for enthusiastic individuals with production or machine operator experience to join and collaborate with the Mars Petcare team at our factory in Melton Mowbray.
The role of a Process Operator is to support the operating, controlling, and monitoring of machinery; to yield efficiency, produce high quality and safe petfood, and maintain a professional, clean manufacturing environment. Without the cooperation of our production team our product would never be able to reach the market, so the operator role is crucial to building the business.
The factory is within driving distance of Derby, Nottingham, Oakham, Grantham, and Leicester, and is within walking distance to the train station.
The role will work a rotating shift pattern of 4 on 4 off; two-day shifts and two-night shifts, and then 4 consecutive days off.
What are we looking for?
Production Operator or similar experience in a factory environment.
Committed and able to learn those elements you have not done yet or have less experience in.
Experience facilitating CCP (‘critical control point’) or quality checks or running risk assessments.
Collaborator with good interpersonal skills.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Responsible for CCP and quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.
Work together with the team to run the equipment to maintain a constant flow of product to the next area.
Keep and share records, logs, and effective shift handovers.
Commit to identifying and proposing ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in production, cost, or time.
Contribute and support the team performance by working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and best practices.
