Procurement Category Manager - Editorial, Travel & MarketingLondon (Hybrid working 2-3 days in the office)Salary to £58k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Talented, motivated people are the key to our client's success with a commitment to providing a working environment that allows people to reach their full potential.They encourage curiosity and innovation amongst its people, and are looking to recruit a Category Manager who will primarily focused on Editorial, Travel and Marketing services, along with other areas of spend on an ad hoc basis.Their category plans and sourcing activities are developed and delivered with business stakeholders and in line with the overall corporate strategy. Smaller and tactical souring activities are undertaken in line with the business needs.Responsibilities of the role include:Develop and maintain strong and effective internal relationships with key stakeholdersDefine and implement category plans and strategy aligned with business direction and objectiveScope and develop saving and service enhancement opportunities presenting compelling business cases to influence decision makersLead sourcing projects which deliver value and generate benefitsLead commercial and contractual negotiationsManage supplier relationship and ensure that service quality is achieved, budgets are met, risks are mitigated and security of supply ensuredImplement and monitor continuous improvement programmes and drive and facilitate supplier innovationThe role is operational and delivery focused, with multiple projects running in parallel.For certain projects the Category Manager may be supported by additional procurement resources.The Ideal Candidate:Strong experience across end-to-end category management processes and the ability lead and deliver complex projects and manage large contractsThe candidate should be a proven self-starter, and be able to demonstrate a level of flexibility and creativity in a fast-paced environment. A degree of tactical work is required as part of this role.Ability to build strong professional relationships with senior stakeholdersExperience in using e-sourcing and P2P solutionsCIPS qualification desirable but not essentialIf this sounds like you then do get in touch.
