We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Procurement Consultant to join our established and growing business in our Reading office with hybrid working.

Facilities Management and Procurement are responsible for property strategy, office moves and refurbishment projects, management of the end- to-end procurement process and overseeing operational facilities management across all sites including H&S. The FMP are accountable for developing, establishing, and ensuring implementation of the Procurement Process, governance and management of all suppliers’ contractual requirements and delivery dates.
The Role:
Within the generalist procurement role, you will gain exposure to a variety of categories from Legal, Compliance, HR, FM to IT, Administration and Marketing procurement, including:
Support the delivery of the end-to-end procurement process - approving new supplier requests, engaging with Compliance, Risk and Legal and updating the Procurement Policy.
Undertake a variety of day-to-day procurement activities – supporting in contractual negotiations and identifying business development opportunities.
Working with Risk on managing the Third-Party Suppliers.
You will also support the Procurement Manager in the management of:
Benchmarking, purchase reviews and re-tendering of relevant contracts.
Identifying opportunities for cost savings and price negotiations with suppliers.
Suppliers’ relationship including regular communications, performance monitoring including meeting agreed service levels and suppliers’ ratings.
Verification and authorization of suppliers’ invoices and payments.
Being able to cover for the Procurement Manager and liaising with internal stakeholders and the wider network of work streams.
Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile:
We are looking for a confident and personable Procurement Consultant who is looking for a new challenge and wants to be part of this exciting period of growth. This role requires;
Demonstrable experience in a similar role, specifically procurement and/or finance.
Experience with contract renewals and negotiations as well as sourcing new suppliers
Experience working in cross functional teams and with senior management
Strong commercial acumen to drive cost savings
