Position Overview:

As a Procurement Manager with you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality procurement solutions to a professional services clients. Based in Belfast, this role involves regular office visits to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.


Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and develop tailored procurement strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality goods and services.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions while adhering to ethical procurement practices.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal.
  • Monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to provide clients with up-to-date insights.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential suppliers and benchmark pricing.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, implementing strategies to safeguard against potential issues.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the procurement process.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to clients on procurement activities and performance metrics.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Other Requirements:

  • Based in the Northern Ireland area with the ability to travel to the office in Belfast.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in procurement practices.
