Job title: Procurement Manager

Salary: £61,110+ dependant on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing leadership to Radar team and create an environment for high performing teams and individuals through setting robust SMART objectives, providing ongoing performance feedback and development planning
  • Ensuring contracts with Leonardo (subcontracts and materials) have commercial rigour which minimises exposure to risk, encourage innovation and incorporate improvement targets ensuring Supplier Relationship Management is standardised and implemented, inclusive of key Metrics and KPI's illustrating Supplier performance with Monthly/Quarterly Business reviews
  • Leading relationship activities, including contract negotiations in line with spend management and drive supply chain rationalisation
  • Leading the Procurement inputs into Customer Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), in particular in support of International bid campaigns
  • Ability to work flexibility with a significant requirement to work at our partner location in Edinburgh

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in Market Intelligence, International Sourcing, Risk and Opportunity Management, Contracting and Supplier Relationship Management
  • Experience of establishing and managing relationships through the completion of major sub contracts, and of compiling and negotiating contracts
  • Proven understanding of pricing models (competitive and non-competitive pricing techniques)
  • Thorough understanding of functional commercial, Project Management and procurement capabilities

Desirable:

  • Understanding and application of International business
  • Driving schedule delivery and performance

The MKO Radar team:

You will be part of the development of MK0 Radar on the Typhoon platform. Support all typhoon with future growth opportunities and in a diverse role working closely with internal & external teams. Building the stakeholder supplier relationship.
