Job Description We are looking for a Procurement lead for the Indirect category acting as the Sourcing Lead for all indirect sub-spend areas across the whole Valeo Snack Foods Division (VSF) across 8 production sites around the UK with the potential to take on additional sites as the company expands further. You will deliver category objectives, cost reduction programmes and a competitive advantage in-line with business strategy & objectives working closely with relevant stakeholders in the UK and at Group Level. Manage the total UK Energy portfolio across Gas and Electricity. This is a critical spend area with the potential to become an aggregated European wide portfolio. Develop and deliver best-in-class Sourcing Strategies building on an in depth understanding of our sub-categories, markets, suppliers, cost drivers and cost structure, and supplier innovation opportunities These will need to be aligned with VSF commercial strategies as necessary. Recommend course of action to deliver all objectives, including optimal sourcing approach. Proactively map and manage category-related risks as relevant. The ability to engage stakeholders to build a collaborative working relationship and to get involved in areas not previously managed by procurement (e.g. Marketing procurement) will be essential to the success of this role. Work with supply chain stakeholders to ensure business continuity, and with marketing and technical stakeholders to deliver cost reduction objectives and innovation needs. Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure that VSF become a preferred customer. Ensure all governance aspects, including legal agreements, are in force. The role includes the management and development of a small team consisting of 1 Indirect Senior Buyer. Qualifications Graduate qualification as a minimum In-depth experience in strategic sourcing of an array of Indirect sub-categories, including Energy, Capex, MRO, and Marketing. Knowledge and experience of world-class category management and sourcing practices from one or several world-class companies. Experienced in managing sourcing categories across multiple geographies. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Strong results-orientation and proven track record of consistent outstanding performance and results delivery. Strong ability to lead, influence, collaborate, and effectively engage multiple stakeholders. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proactive and action-orientated. Will get into the required level of operational details to deliver business needs. Can make things happen regardless of obstacles. Structured yet flexible. Creative and continuously looking for stretching value-adding opportunities. Experienced in enabling innovation with suppliers. Proven ability to build strong supplier relationships to achieve business goals. Experienced in managing all procurement aspects of a category.
