Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Manager - Professional Services

Location: Preston or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £62,000+ depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead all procurement activities, including: category management, sourcing and supplier relationship management in respect of the Professional Services sub-category which delivers specialised services to support Head Office and business functions, including: Legal, Finance, Communications, Company Secretary, Internal Audit, SHE, Employee Engagement & Pensions
  • Will collaboratively engage with stakeholders in developing, delivering and maintain a robust category strategy to optimise BAE Systems' approach to the procurement of professional services from the external market
  • Form part of People Category leadership team in Indirect Procurement Services, within BAE Systems UK & International Shared Services - which delivers common and transactional services on behalf of the BAE Systems group

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • A high level of contract knowledge, including experience negotiating terms and conditions
  • Experience of the professional services category, or related categories, e.g. consultancy
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills
  • CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma (MCIPS), or willing to work towards

Desirable:

  • Degree-level qualified, or significant professional experience

The People Category team in Indirect Procurement Services:

The People category team provides category management, sourcing and supplier relationship management expertise in Recruitment, Contingent Labour, Global & Domestic Mobility Services, Consultancy, Offload and Learning & Development sub-categories and are looking to add additional expertise in Professional Services to the team.
