Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Procurement PMO Leadto join us in London. The successful candidate will have worked on transformation projects and will ideally have experience of the procurement phase.

What to Bring

  • Experience in the definition, setup, and end to end delivery of PMO & Planning aspects of a Programme. Preferably with experience of Digital Workplace, End User Compute, Service Desk and/or SIAM services in complex, global setting
  • Experience of working in the procurement or discovery phase of a programme
  • PMO & Planning experience
  • Detail and quality orientated
  • Extensive experience in a Programme or Portfolio office implementing PMO processes
  • Strong understanding of delivery life cycle, governance and assurance
  • Experience of providing assurance activities to Supplier deliverables to obtain sign-off
  • Experience in driving risk and issue management and best practice in organisations
  • Experience creating and providing central reporting and management reports
  • Knowledge of Project financial management tracking and reporting
  • Use of Portfolio tools e.g. PPM & Clarity (or similar)
  • Ability to work with people in a matrix orientated environment with onshore, offshore and multiple 3rd party delivery environment and establish working partnerships
  • Good relationship management, stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently across all levels of an organisaion in both in writing and verbally
  • Customer focus driven with a commitment to ‘do the right thing’

What You will Do

  • Establishing the PMO for the procurement and mobilisation/transition phase 
  • Build and manage the overall Programme Plan in conjunction with the Programme Manager and the Project Workstream Leads
  • Support the management of the programme and workstream plans by obtaining the necessary inputs from the programme team
  • Assist with end-to-end execution and responsibility for all aspects of the Programme & Projects, including definition, planning, execution & implementation, governance & control, financial, service introduction, 3rd party vendor engagement, commercial management, resource and change management
  • Financial / business management
  • Build new processes
  • Build standardised executive communications and updates
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support on all aspects of governance and controls
  • Support and provide input into investment cases and business cases for the next phase of delivery
  • Responsibility for the Monthly SteerCo Meeting
  • Meeting Management and Facilitation
  • Facilitate Risk and Issue Reviews and management of the RAID
  • Produce Management Information and dashboards as required for the various governance groups
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior members of staff as required
