Procurement Specialist

We are an established and growing organisation and we have an exciting opportunity to join the Novo-K team to lead on outsourced procurement support and collaborative buying. We are looking for a candidate who is enthused by a varied role with the opportunity to work with several different clients from across mutiple sectors including, Global Financial Services, FMCG, Energy, Elite Sports, Charities and Infrastructure.


Responsibilities: This is a customer facing role to provide our clients with high quality Procurement Support covering the full spectrum of procurement services. You will be running procurement activities on behalf of or alongside client key stakeholders in an advisory role.

This includes: managing and driving down total acquisition costs, strategic sourcing, developing supporting documentation and contract negotiation. Customer and supplier meetings and training sessions will be part of the role in the medium to long term so an enthusiasm for meeting people and driving stronger relationships is essential.


Skills Desired:

  • End to end Procurement/Sourcing experience
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Track record of achieving cost savings
  • Experience of negotiating keen eye to identify areas and opportunities for cost saving
  • Building strong relationships with Internal Stakeholders in order toeffectively serve their needs, often with shorter than expected timescales
  • Must be a proactive and confident individual, eager to develop their skills within the purchasing department and display enthusiasm forcareer progression within procurement
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
  • Attention to detail for creating and presenting documents to clients and SLT
  • Fantastic people and communication skills with a strong ability to collaborate with people at all levels of a business

Experience:


  • Minimum of 4 years' procurement experience
  • Must have a proven track record of achieving results with the abilityto perform to demanding deadlines
  • Degree Level or Equivalent or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrable examples of achieving cost savings on behalf ofemployer(s) and/or custom CIPS level 4
